Portage High School's Holiday Concert Series

For the month of December both Portage High School and the town's middle schools are hosting various concerts for the holiday season. We recently were on the scene for one of the first holiday concerts and talked to the band directors about the series, why the public should come to see the shows, and how it showcases the talent of PHS students.

Porter Health Care System Keeps Annual Tradition Alive with Turkey Giveaway

Each year Porter Regional Hospital gives back to their associates for the holidays. In particular, for Thanksgiving, they give away free turkeys for their holiday dinner. We were on the scene at Porter Regional Hospital and Portage Hospital to talk to some of Porter's turkey giveaway volunteers about why they like to be a part of the two day event, how it's one way that Porter cares, and how some giveaway their free turkeys to families who need it the most.

Food Bank of Northwest Indiana Helps Feed Those In Need

For almost a decade the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana and the Northwest Indiana McDonalds have been helping those in need - with a program they call 'Pantry on the Go'. Every Wednesday at a certain location in the region the organization give away free food for those who need it.
