Mara Wible, formerly of MegaBeads will lead jewelry making classes Fridays in August. Pre-registration at the library is strongly requested before each class and cash payment will be taken at registration. Fee per class is $20.00, all supplies included.
August 10, 2-4 pm: Byzantine Bracelet. A Byzantine chain is a 4 in 1 chain meaning that each chain passes through four others. This chain is supple and flexible draping gracefully like rope.
August 17, 11-1 pm: Wavy Chain Maille Bracelet. This Bracelet is a wonderful introduction to the Japanese Family of chain maille weaves. It is a beautiful modification of a Japanese 2-in-1 weave. There will be many colors of beads to choose from.
August 24, 2–4 pm: Box Chain Bracelet. In the European family of chain maille weaves, Box chain starts out like Byzantine but ends up something different.
