Recently, the Portage Township School Board has experienced a vacancy. This vacancy must be filled by August 25, 2016. This vacancy is for a term that expires at the end of 2016. The General Election for this position is to be held November 8, 2016.
All applicants should submit a Notice of Their Interest, in writing, to School Board President, Andy Maletta. The Board will review all interested candidates to ascertain their qualifications. Applicants may include in their Notice of Their Interest the following: A resume, education, community involvement, specific community involvement related to education, any experience in handling or administering large budgets, your vision for education in this community, your experience in establishing policies and procedures for an organization, past leadership positions and any other information which you believe suggests that you are the appropriate candidate to fill this vacancy.
All Notice of Interest in the position must be submitted not later than August 8, 2016, 10:00 a.m.
