Anime Club
The PHS Anime Club had their annual holiday party in the art department. Students played games, exchanged gifts, and shared delicious food. The student officers for the club are Justin Perrine, Lauren Szmutko, Brandon Gertzen, and Rebecca Farris. The Anime Club sponsor is Jennifer Schafer.

Mitten Drive
For the past few weeks the Portage High School staff has been collecting mittens for our students. We have collected hundreds and mittens to be given to the bus drivers to distribute to children without mittens.

We all know how valuable and support staff is and how we cannot function without them. Our two office workers, Shannon Liesch (left) and Tracy Wood (right) have been collecting mittens for the high school. Our bus driver, Jamie Karam, (center) will be one of the many bus drivers who greet our students with a smile, keep our kids safe, and now can offer warm hands.

Intro to Transportation
Portage High School "Intro to Transportation" students designed, constructed and launched high pressure water rockets. Applying "free-fall" calculations to their flights, students used time and gravity to determine how high and fast their rockets traveled. Several exceeded 300 ft. and 100 mph! The project was literally a blast!

Social Studies
Members of the PHS Social Studies department participated in Red and or Green day (pictured from left to right are Tom Erickson, Mark Marvin, Greg Mundt, John Arredondo, Eric Mundt, and Phil Mulroe)!
