On Saturday, February 21, Fegely Middle School competed in The Regional Science Olympiad Competition at Indiana University.
This year Fegely faced their largest completion to date, competing against fifteen other teams in the area. A lot of time, energy and effort was involved in the planning, studying and building leading up to the competition. Fegely Middle School took home four medals in the events Meteorology and Come Fly with Me, won by Christian Andrade, Jake Fryer, Aiden Ridgeway and Keyan Ridgeway.
Other team members came close in their competitions, but fell short of placing. Fegely’s Science Olympiad Team consisted of: Oscar Anaya, Kasey Brosky, Abby Meade, Christian Andrade, Phil Garner, Jalen Mays, Trista Henderson, Jake Fryer, Kassy Garay, Bryce Bailey, Daniel Shelton, William Davis, Payton Schuster, Karissa Lauper, Ethyl Ruehman, and Aiden Ridgeway. They are coached by: Kristin Szymczak and Gary Lembcke.
