Mr. Kappes' PLTW-Introduction to Engineering & Design classes at Portage High School prepare test, or drop, their "egg containers" from the top of the school's stadium bleachers as part of a class project. The purpose of the activity was for students to successfully apply the "design process" to solve the problem of protecting the egg from being damaged by a free fall. Students had to design around both size and weight restrictions as part of the challenge. The activity was a smashing success!
