For the past few years we have been faithfully on the sidelines of Portage High School's graduation ceremony, making sure that every moment is captured - from the grand entrance to the traditional cap throw.

This year was no different. We caught hundreds of great moments from the class of 2015, and we're proud to be able to showcase an important day in their lives once again.

Once again, Portage goes all out to celebrate the most patriotic holiday of the year. For 2015 we were not only on the scene for Portage's Independence Day Parade, but we also caught some fun and colorful images as well.

It was a rough season for the Portage Indians, but despite what happened on the field, Portage's Homecoming game always lifts the spirits of their fans.

We documented the tough loss versus Portage but also captured the happiness during half-time homecoming court.

On Saturday, June 20th, the City of Portage, the Portage Parks and Recreation Department, and the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Founders Square Park in downtown Portage with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

City officials and members of the public gathered together to also enjoy a ceremonial turning on of the new splash pad, which kids were eagerly anticipating, live musical entertainment and the new market area filled with vendors and food stands.

For over 30 years Portage High School has been crowning one student as PHS’ Most Distinguished Woman, and for 2015 it was no different.

On Saturday night over 40 girls participated in the program with their hopes of becoming this year’s winner of the DYW title, but only one could take the winning spot at the top of the steps - and this year it was Claire Hagan.

Good vibes were all around as the 4th Annual Good Life Awards spent a few hours giving special recognition to some special people from all over Northwest Indiana. This gallery captures the event, the awards, and the emotion that the six special winners felt that night.

Excited children and bundled up families wouldn’t let the chilly temperatures stop them from enjoying the Portage Parks and Recreation Department's annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Saturday.

Families gathered to watch the parade which featured floats, fire trucks, a horse drawn carriage along with Santa and Mrs. Claus before counting down the Tree Lighting together at Gilbert Park.
