Top 10 PortageLife Entertainment Articles of 2013

Top-10-PL-Ent-20132013 was a fun year, wasn't it? There was so much to see and do and we at PortageLife had the chance to be involved in a great number of those things. Theater productions, amazing concerts, delicious food, great people and wonderful parties filled the year with good times and great memories.

3. Portage Township SummerFest Improves Parks Through Community Fun

The first day of the second annual Portage Township SummerFest went smoothly thanks to the efforts of the enthusiastic staff, wonderful sponsors and devoted SummerFest Committee members. The community is invited to celebrate the coming summer Friday from 5-11 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. There is a $5 entrance fee, but free admission is provided until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. 5. Students Model the Latest Styles During PHS Prom Fashion Show

The annual Prom Fashion Show hosted by Portage High School’s Health Occupation Students of America organization is more than just a fashion show. HOSA hosts this event to raise money not only for its own organization, but also toward a charity of choice. 6. PHS Variety Show Draws 800 Attendees

It was time for Portage High School students to showcase their talents in the annual PHS Variety Show. The Variety Show has been held every spring for almost 30 years.
