United Way of Porter County Hosts Annual Women United Bunco Bash
Apr 18 05:30 PM - 07:30 PM
Spa Events Center - Chesterton
United Way of Porter County’s third annual Bunco Bash is Thursday, April 18 at The Spa Event Center in Porter. The event supports United Way’s Women United initiative, a group of highly dedicated volunteers who focus on supporting health, education and financial stability for local residents. “When women come together things get done,” said Kim Olesker, president and CEO of United Way of Porter County. “We have been so humbled to see the response of this volunteer-led group to local community needs.” Women United Porter County is 70 members strong and growing. Recently, Women United Porter County mobilized to create a support network that shows women who are on their recovery journey from substance abuse that they are not alone. Members committed to hosting classes or donating funds to support the effort. "I am inspired by this recent effort to energize our community members to use their personal passions, best ideas and unique strengths for the mission of building stronger communities," said Carrie Higgins, Clinical Assistant Professor at Purdue University Northwest and Women’s United Steering Committee Member.
United Way invites all ladies to join in a night of fun and games. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with play instructions and mingle time. Guests must be 21 or older to play and no experience is necessary. Seating is limited to 120 players. Ticket cost is $35 per player and includes refreshments and a cash bar. Additionally, every guest walks away with a door prize. To learn more and purchase tickets, please visit www.unitedwaypc.org/bunco. Can’t attend the event?
