The Duneland Athletic Conference has released its 2016 All-Conference boy soccer team, with first-place Lake Central landing a conference-high five players on the team, while Chesterton's Owen Hallas was named Conference MVP.

The Duneland Athletic Conference released its 2016 All-Duneland Conference Teams and MVP this week, with Crown Point's Delaney Benich taking the conference's Most Valuable Player. The three teams tied for first in the Conference, Crown Point, Valparaiso and Chesterton, each had four girls named to the All-Conference Team.
The 1st-place La Porte Slicers led the Duneland Athletic Conference with eight players named to the 2016 All-DAC team, including Juan Villa and Owen Strieter, named Most Valuable Kicker and Most Valuable Punter, respectively.

Duneland Athletic Conference Names Boys and Girls All-Conference Cross Country Teams for 2016 Season
The Duneland Athletic Conference has named its All-Conference Teams for the 2016 season, naming Valparaiso's Ava Gilliana and Lake Central's Joey Copeland Most Valuable Runners for the girls and boys, respectively.

With about three weeks left in the freshmen football season, I had 4 kids on the team come to me and ask if our manager could score a touchdown on the last play of the 5th quarter of our last game. Our manager is a student who can physically not play football due to circumstances beyond his control (conjoined twin at birth).

The 7-0 Chesterton High School tennis team took the top place in the conference standings for the fall 2016 Duneland Athletic Conference season, with the Trojans' doubles team of Cameron Cook and Chad Whelan (7-0 / 4-0) took the top doubles spot. Crown Point's Bryce Bonin took the honors of Conference MVP.
On October 1st the Portage boys high school cross country team won the Duneland Athletic Conference for the first time since 2004. Ideas in motion media publisher, Chris Mahlmann, caught up with the Coach Tom Erickson, Coach Brian Kim, and a couple of runners to talk about the big win.
