River Forest Teammates Join IUNs Strong 2015 Recruiting Class

IUN-River-Forest-Team-Mates-Join-StrongIU Northwest Head Volleyball Coach Diane White is excited about the potential of the incoming freshman class for the 2015 season. Two River Forest athletes are the latest in a string of talented athletes joining the RedHawks. Alondra Avalos and Abbey Bryant signed their Letters of Intent on Friday!

Alondra Avalos is a 5'8" Outside Hitter and Opposite, who brings a great work ethic to the team. Avalos comes to the RedHawks with very high recommendations from her previous coaches and peers. "Alondra is a strong player who plays like she is taller than she really is! She has no fear, and will try anything we ask...I can't wait to see her develop in the next few years!", says Coach White. Aside from volleyball, Alondra also participated in track for the Ingots. Avalos was joined by her family, friends, and coaches at her signing.

Abbey Bryant is a 5'7" Setter/Opposite. Bryant is also a multi sport athlete at RFHS, participating in volleyball, basketball, and softball. "Abbey is very quick on her feet. We will be training her as a setter so that we can utilize her speed with our strong attacking crew. She is a fast learner, so I believe she will learn the system quickly!", stated Coach White. Abbey was also joined by family, friends & coaches at her signing...her grandparents & great grandfather were especially proud!

River Forest Athletic Director Jason Quigg stated it was a proud day for Ingot Athletics. "You are getting two amazing young women...we are very proud!", Quigg added.

Look for an upcoming release from Coach White introducing the 2015 RedHawks! "We are so excited about what we are seeing so far! I can't wait to get the whole team in the gym together...there is something special here!", stated Coach White.
