Purdue Calumet Falls to Unbeaten Wayne State

PUC-PeregrinsThe Purdue University Calumet women’s tennis team fell to Wayne State University, 9-0, Saturday afternoon at Match Point Racquet Club.

Junior Lori Haas (Bismarck, Ill./Bismarck-Henning) fell at No. 1 singles over WSU’s Yahsha Moore, 6-1, 6-3, while at No. 2 singles, AmberHaworth (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) put up a strong fight over Alex Poissant, dropping the first set 6-3, and following it with a 6-4 setback in the second set.

Purdue Calumet returns to actionSunday, March 1, when they travel to Rensselaer, Ind. to face St. Joseph’s College at 1 p.m.
