McDonald’s Kids Day Set For Saturday, Feb. 7, at Purdue Calumet’s Fitness and Recreation Center

PUC-PeregrinsWhile the Purdue University Calumet men’s and women’s basketball teams will take on Indiana South Bend in an important league doubleheader, the Peregrines athletic department invites all children to take part in the fun in its annual Kids Day, set for Saturday, Feb.7 at the Fitness and Recreation Center.

All kids ages 0-18 will be admitted FREE to the event – presented by Purdue Calumet Corporate Champion Mcdonald's -- featuring bounce houses, face painting, coloring stations, free-t-shirts, free poster autograph sessions by the home teams, a special show by Ronald McDonald & Friends between games, and other child-friendly activities beginning at 1 p.m.

The women’s game will kick off the day beginning at 1 p.m., as the No. 8 Peregrines (18-5, 10-3 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference) face the Titans (13-13, 6-7) in the opener, followed by the men’s game at 3 p.m., as the Peregrines (11-12, 6-7) look to pick up an important league win over the Titans (11-14, 5-9). Purdue Calumet swept the Titans in two meetings earlier this season.

Admission to the women’s and men’s basketball games is $6 for adults. The Fitness and Recreation Center is located at 2300 173rd Street in Hammond, Ind.
