Both the Indiana University Northwest men's and women's basketball teams lost on Saturday night.
Despite 19 points from Cody Artuso and 17 from Brandon Grubl, the Redhawks could not handle Trinity Christian College, dropping an 81-71 decision. IU Northwest (3-8 overall) also received solid games from Quentin Palmer, who had 12 points and nine rebounds and Justin Pennington, who totaled five points, six rebounds, two steals and a block.
The IUN women also fell victim that night, losing to Marian University, 65-53. Nicki Monahan led the RedHawks in the losing effort with 19 points as Megan Holland had 16 to go with 11 rebounds.
With the loss, IUN falls to 8-5 overall.
