The Indiana Dunes (Porter) Tourism and the LaPorte County Tourism held the R.O.S.E. awards (Recognizing Outstanding Service Excellence) at the VU Harre Union Ballroom this past Wednesday. The R.O.S.E awards started around 10 years ago. This program acknowledges those throughout the county who provide exceptional service. Nomination cards are made available throughout the counties to visitors and residents alike. Anyone can nominate a person or business they feel best exemplifies excellent service. Many businesses and individuals from Portage received awards at yesterday’s ceremony, such as Country Inn & Suites for Hotel of the Year, Debbie Coleman from Hampton Inn, The Outback Trail at Imagination Glen Park and the Portage Lakefront & Riverwalk.
