The annual Portage High School Art Show opened to the public on May 16 and runs through May 25. The public is invited to come and view this outstanding show. Each of the six art teachers selected 50 pieces from the works her students created this year.
Opening night included a lovely array of finger foods and punch. A large crowd was there to see the artwork and the Awards Ceremony. First-, second-, and third- place awards were selected in eleven different media. This year’s judge was Jane Lohmeyer, a member of the Education Department at Valparaiso University. Lohmeyer taught art at PHS for many years.
