Jennifer and Amanda grew up in the business from a very young age, learning how to count by counting frames in the store. Even though the optical business was an integral part of their lives growing up, both ladies pursued other avenues at first. Amanda began a career as a recreational therapist, caring for elderly patients, enjoying the interaction with people. Jennifer worked at Kraft Foods for ten years, developing strong experience in finance and marketing. Eventually the sisters brought their experience to the VisionPoint stores and ensure everyone learns how to interact with both of them so they can bring the best of both their minds to the business.
Another way VisionPoint is working for the community is through a Food Drive campaign. This past November, customers were able to receive $60 off a complete pair of glasses when they brought in canned goods. The canned goods then went to five local food pantries:
