From My Desk to Yours: Change is Good as Long as It's Change for the Better |

I am very positive about almost everything; in fact, my wife says I live in my own little world which she calls “Terry’s World”. As I let many happy thoughts cross my mind about the New Year, I became quite sober when I realized that I am eligible for Medicare in 2012, and I don’t want to be. I have always felt that you are only as old as you feel, but maybe I am wrong. I have a couple of resolutions for 2012, but I am not going to share them in case I can’t keep them. I will make a promise to all of you for 012. I promise to work as hard as I can to make your membership to you Chamber a real value to you. I also hope that any resolutions you made that are good fro you are solutions that you keep. A new year always brings with it changes and many times they are bittersweet. Our Board of Director’s list has two new names which will bring more shared wisdom to the table, but it comes with the departure of two fine Board Members. Our PCBN event has focused on changes in 2012 to better the event. Our Banquet Committee met last week with many possible changes being considered to make the event even better. Our 2012-2013 Directory and Community will have a litter different look to it which will allow it to be even better than it already has been the last nine years. Our Music in the Park series will see some changes in our list of artists to guarantee the best series ever. As a personal that normally hates change, I guess I have to admit that change is good as long as it is change for the better. I hope that 2012 is not just better, but your best year ever for your business life and personal life. I also hope that you let your Chamber help you whether change is necessary or not for you to have a most successful 2012. While we all make these plans for the future, let us never forget to enjoy today; it is the one that has been given to us. Image credit to Hellojenuine on Flickr. Related Articles
