Application packets for the position of Probationary Patrol Officer with experience for the Portage Police Department will be available from February 6th starting at 8:00 AM through February 19th at 8:00 AM. All applications must be completed and returned to the Portage Police Department no later than 8:00 am on March 3rd 2012. Those interested in applying may pick up an application packet at the Portage Police Department, 2693 Irving St. All applicants must meet the following requirements:
The salary for a probationary officer is $33,182.76, however, officers with 3 or more years of municipal law enforcement experience may qualify for a starting salary of $39,391.04. Then after one year of satisfactory service the salary increases to $42,305.90. After two years of service the salary increases to $45,509.18. Related Articles
