From My Desk to Yours: Four Thoughts for Fall

As I put my thoughts together for this month’s message, four things come to mind.

The first thoughts are of the beautiful weather we are now having. You only have to step outside or event just open a window to smile at how great it is. The last two times I mentioned weather in my message it was about twenty inches of snow on the ground and then Centier’s Bank reading one hundred two degrees. Don’t waste even one day of opportunities to take a walk, sit in the park, use your lawn chairs, or just sit by an open window.

My next thoughts turned to the tremendous response to our annual invoicing for membership dues. As I send out this message, over one hundred of our members have now renewed for 2012. Thank you so much for your excellent response. I hope that next month’s message will speak of an additional large number of renewals received.

The third thought touches on the handshakes and smiles I have received while delivering the 2011-12 Directory and Community Profile. I felt it was important to try to personally deliver this beautiful publication myself. I have delivered two hundred forty directories and over three thousand profiles to our businesses. It is my pleasure to serve this business community in any way that I can.

My last thought for this message is about our November 19, 2011 Banquet and Awards Ceremony. Invitations will go out, and I truly believe that this will be our best banquet ever. From our students playing music during cocktail hour from six to seven pm, followed by our Portage ROTC presenting the colors to a wonderful dinner at 7:15pm, followed by some very special people and companies receiving awards. The evening will conclude with an outstanding hour of entertainment. I promise you, these four hours will make up an evening you will not want to miss.
