Due to recent tough economic times, many families in Northwest Indiana are experiencing various hardships. The Arnell Auto Group recognized this situation and took action with their second-annual Extreme Car Makeover, designed to help a few families in the area improve their lives by improving their rides.

This year instead of only offering repairs, as Arnell did with last year’s Extreme Car Makeover, the auto dealership decided it would be best to just give a couple of lucky Northwest Indiana families quality used cars already on the Arnell lot.

This year, Arnell was able to give Kathy Tatlock a Ford Taurus while Chanel Johnson received a Pontiac Grand Am from the number one used car dealer in Northwest Indiana. They were also able to help one with repairs by fixing up the Chevy Aveo belonging to the family of Jim Reeves.

“I think this program is exactly what many families in Northwest Indiana may need at this time of year—just a helping hand,” Dave Arnell, owner of Arnell Auto Group explained. “If we can help families by performing some much-needed repairs, then they can use that money for food, bills, or even presents for their friends and families.”
