Kennedy-2010-Mazda3Car buying is tricky business. And for a first time car purchaser, all I knew was I wanted a stress-free experience and a good deal. Knowing I needed an affordable vehicle with great gas mileage and in good condition, I set off on my quest. I browsed car sites, cars.com, autotrader.com, Yahoo autos, and local dealer sites, to get an idea of where to start.

Through my research, I fell in love with Mazdas. The Mazda 3, to be exact. This car seemed to fit all my needs: great gas mileage, affordable, plus great reviews and resale value. Figuring it was best to go local with my purchase, I checked out Kennedy Mazda’s website, as my grandfather had spoken highly of their services, having bought vehicles from them in the past, and was happy with the ease of browsing their inventory. Details for each vehicle were clearly listed, from engine type to mileage, along with price. Plus, many of the vehicles had Carfax reports, so buyers can check out the history of the car.

As I was browsing, I spotted the most beautiful Mazda 3, in a shiny, Gunmetal Blue Mica color. A 2010 i Touring model, this Mazda 3 had all the features I wanted (including a sunroof, Bluetooth sync, and Bose stereo system!) without the high price I feared. I knew I had to drive it.

So on a bitterly cold winter night, I ventured over to Kennedy Mazda, not necessarily intending to drive, but at least to see this beauty in person. Upon locating it in the lot, I immediately ran over to drool and dream. Since no one else was crazy enough to be out in that weather, obviously I was noticed and greeted almost immediately by salesman Milan Stevanovich, with a “You want to take a look inside?” Umm…yes.

Milan grabbed the key, and handed it over to me. The car was immaculate, obviously cared for very well. Sitting in the car just felt right. So right, that when Milan offered a test drive, I wasted no time in taking him up on the offer. Now, a test drive in the dead of winter, with super below zero temps and ice everywhere doesn’t make for optimum conditions, so it impressed me that Milan was so comfortable with handing over the keys. We started off on the test and as I began to head towards the middle of town, Milan stopped me and told me to take it out on the highway, get some speed going. And that’s when I knew I must buy this Mazda 3: excellent pickup, smooth ride, killer audio system: it truly is a Zoom Zoom.

Back at the dealership, Milan sat down with me and discussed the vehicle a little more, the buying options, rates, and answered all my questions. Even though the Carfax report was very clean, I wanted to take the car to get inspected, just to ease all my concerns. This was not a problem and my concerns were erased after getting the all clear from my mechanic.

After deciding this car was meant to be mine, I went back to Kennedy to complete the transaction. Milan was off so Sales Manager Andrew Thompson helped finalize the deal, offering several payment options, multiple extended warranties to choose from (if I so desired), and washing the car before I drove it off the lot. He even sat in the car with me and helped set up my Bluetooth sync.

Overall, Kennedy made the car buying process very smooth. With a great selection of vehicles to choose from, fair pricing, and a helpful staff, Kennedy is a great place for your auto needs.
