Valparaiso Family YMCA - Valparaiso
If you are a serious runner or someone who enjoys staying active, this is your race! The Valparaiso Family YMCA has hosted Ringing In Spring for the past 24 years and features a local course through the neighborhoods around the YMCA. The race is organized by the YMCA and a dedicated committee who are motivated to staying fit through running. Last year, over 1,800 runners and walkers gathered at the Y for the race and we hope to top those numbers for one of the finest early races of the year! If you are not a runner, join the Prediction Walk and walk the course at your own pace. The race begins and ends at the YMCA located at 1201 Cumberland Crossing Dr. 5K and 10K and Prediction Race. All racers, runners and walkers start at 9am.
The race is a Gold Cup Series race, and includes chip timing, gear check, early shirt/bib pick up, USATF certified course and free child care (preregistration is required). Early bird registration is open now. Each registered participant receives a long-sleeve tee shirt-$12 discount if no shirt is desired. Extra Mile Fitness, located at 1330 E. Lincolnway, provides early pick up services. Register as an individual or gather your family, friends and co-workers together and experience the fun of running as a group! Registration is open online from our website www.valpoymca.org or www.ringinginspring.com/www.runsignup.com/RinginginSpring.The proceeds support our Annual Campaign and wellness programs at the Valparaiso Family YMCA helping to keep our community strong.
Over 200 volunteers help make this race a success. Many hands make light work and there are several stations that need you!
