American College of Health Care Administrators Honors Hartsfield Rehabilitation Administrator Seydel

Hartsfield Village Rehabilitation Administrator Susan Seydel is a recipient of the 2018 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award, an honor from the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA). Nationally, 351 administrators in 45 states received the facility leadership award this year.

Based on the premise that facility excellence is reflected in leadership excellence, the Eli Pick award recognizes the administrator of record who provided such leadership for the full 2017 calendar year. Eligibility for this award is based on three years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) survey data including health, fire safety and compliance surveys as well as top quartile performance on designated quality measures. Fewer than 11 percent of facilities nationwide qualify. For 2017, some 1,717 facilities across the country met the selection criteria.

“I am delighted and honored to receive the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award on behalf of the rehabilitation center,” said Seydel. “The team at Hartsfield Village strives to provide the highest quality of care and services to our patients and residents. I am proud to lead this incredible group of people.”

The Facility Leadership Award was first introduced in 2008 by the ACHCA’s former leader and member, the late Eli Pick. An executive director himself of a rehabilitation center for more than 30 years, Pick embodied excellence in care as an administrator. His memory continues to be honored each year through presentation of the award by the ACHCA at their annual awards luncheon that is part of the organization’s convocation and exposition.
