Cardiothoracic Surgeon Joins Community Care Network

Cardiothoracic-Surgeon-Joins-Community-Care-NetworkThe hospitals of Community Healthcare System recently welcomed board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon Michael Eng, MD, to the Community Care Network, Inc. (CCNI) of physicians. The CCNI physicians of Community Healthcare System are closely affiliated with Community Hospital in Munster, St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago and St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.

Dr. Eng is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery and general surgery. He completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Yale University and a residency at Long Island Jewish Center. Dr. Eng received his medical degree from The Larner College at The University of Vermont. He most recently served as an attending surgeon and assistant professor at Loyola University in Chicago and as chief of cardiothoracic surgery at Hines VA Medical Center in Illinois.
