Porter-Starke Services to Host Ribbon Cutting of New Portage Facility

In partnership with the Portage Chamber of Commerce, Porter-Starke Services will host a Business After Hours ribbon-cutting to celebrate the grand opening of its new Portage facility. The new building is located at 3176 Lancer Street, and will be the site of the ribbon cutting on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. porterstarke_logo

The 8,000 square foot building actually opened for business on June 7, 2010, with all staff, equipment and appointments already moved from Porter-Starke’s previous facility on Willowcreek Road.

The building makes a strong statement about our commitment to Portage and our goal to build more partnerships and serve more families and individuals not just in Portage, but all of northwest Indiana,” said Rocco Schiralli, Porter-Starke Services President/CEO. “We’re excited to have more space and more opportunity to serve more people,” he said.

Porter-Starke Services has had an office in Portage for over 30 years; the first located near its present site on Lancer Street. It moved to the Willowcreek location in 2000, and built the new facility this year. Chester, Inc. is the builder and Porter-Starke’s business partner with the facility. “Chester is an excellent partner in this project, and built us a new Portage home beyond our expectations, it really is fantastic,” said Schiralli.

The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 4:15 p.m. on June 22, and will include brief remarks from Schiralli, Portage Mayor Olga Velazquez and other dignitaries. Guests will enjoy a smoothie bar, hors d’oeurves, and tours of the facility. For more information call (219) 476-4502.
