CareEXPRESS is an urgent care center open 9 am to 9 pm seven days a week with an added plus: No appointment necessary! Staffed by Porter physicians, CareEXPRESS provides prompt, quality care for non-emergent conditions, illnesses, or injuries such as sprains/strains, lacerations, broken bones or minor fractures, allergic reactions, upper respiratory infections, and more.
"We brought my 11-year-old in because he was really uncomfortable, and we suspected strep. His pediatrician wasn't available, but we didn't want to head to the Emergency Department," said Elizabeth Shephard. CareEXPRESS is located at Porter's Chesterton Medical Campus, 650 Dickinson Road in Chesterton. The urgent care facility includes an on-site lab and x-ray services.
