VNA and Maria Reiner Senior Center to Offer Contingency Notebook Workshop on July 23, 2015

rot1The public is invited to attend a Contingency Notebook workshop on Thursday, July 23rd at 1:30 pm at the Maria Reiner Senior Center in Hobart. The workshop is sponsored by the VNA Forever Society of the Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County and the Maria Reiner Senior Center.

A contingency notebook is a three-ring binder containing all the information a loved one or personal representative needs to know, should you become seriously incapacitated or even die. When tragedy strikes, it's no time to go through drawers, filing cabinets and shoeboxes looking for pertinent information. Those who bear responsibility for your affairs need the relevant material quickly.

If you do not already have a contingency notebook, emergency file, or crisis notebook with such information, this workshop presented by Sue Nunn will help you get started.

The VNA Forever Society will provide a three-ring binder and notebook materials for attendees.

Please register by calling 219-531-8049 or by email at mhamline@vnaportercounty.org no later than Monday, July 20th. Seating is limited.

The Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County provides compassionate end of life hospice care in the patient's home, extended care facilities, and at the VNA Hospice Center.
