Porter Regional Hospital Presents “The Top 10 Things You Can Do for Arthritis” on July 22, 2015

Porter-New-Hospital-Coming-SoonTo educate the public on the range of treatment options available for arthritis sufferers, Porter Regional Hospital will host an educational seminar on arthritis entitled “The Top 10 Things You Can Do for Arthritis” from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 22. The program is free and will be held in the Community Room at Porter Regional Hospital, 85 East US Highway 6 in Valparaiso.

During the seminar, Porter’s Center for Orthopedic Medicine’s Patient Navigator Brandy Mills will discuss the importance of a proper arthritis diagnosis and offer solutions to ease the aches and pains associated with the condition.

According to Mills, arthritis is the most common cause of disability in the United States. “There are more than 100 varieties of arthritis, affecting millions of Americans every year,” she said. “Our goal is to help patients find the relief they need so they can stop suffering and return to their normal daily activities.”
