Alzheimer’s Symposium at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart

St. Mary Medical Center, in conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Association, is hosting an Alzheimer’s Symposium on Thursday, 9/30/10 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at St. Mary Medical Center, 1500 S. Lake Park Ave., Hobart. AlzheimersAssociation

The agenda for the Alzheimer’s Symposium will include a Resource Fair from 4:00-6:00 PM with information about resources available throughout the northwest Indiana area, including healthcare services, supportive services, financial and legal information, alternative placement options and information on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

At 6:00 PM, Elder Law Attorney Bill Green will discuss the basics of how to get your financial and legal obligations in order when the disease strikes. At 7:00 PM, Neurologist Mark Simaga, MD will give the latest information on the causes, diagnosis and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
