AT&T Again Answers St. Clare Health Clinic Call for Help

ATT-Donation-9-4-13Members of the Crown Point AT&T engineering and project management office, for the third consecutive year, were among area residents and organizations that responded to a recent plea to the community for donations to the St. Clare Health Clinic food pantry and Prenatal Assistance program. AT&T representative Kelly Filkowski, third from left, said the collection was done through the company's Pioneers community assistant group.

Also shown, from left, are: Joe Esch of AT&T, Diane Jansen, clinic volunteer coordinator; Val Giacomin, a clinic volunteer; Jessica Azbill, a clinic medical assistant; Julie Mallers, clinic manager and nurse practitioner; and Gary Diekelman and Virginia Clark, both of AT&T. St. Clare, which is under the auspices of Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point, provides free primary health care and other services for area residents who fall within established income guidelines, are uninsured and are not eligible for government assistance.

Donations may be brought to the clinic, 1121 S. Indiana Ave., between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Prenatal Assistance Program is in need of diapers, formula, baby items and new or gently used clothing, sizes newborn through 3T. The program likewise provides free assistance to needy area residents. For more information, call Jansen at (219) 663-2160, ext. 263.
