NorthShore Health Centers recently took part in the American Dental Association’s Give Kids A Smile program that made dental care available for the week of January 30th to February 2nd to underinsured or uninsured kids throughout NorthShore locations across Northwest Indiana.
St. Catherine Hospital Brings The Heart Truth Campaign to East Chicago During National Wear Red Day Observance 2017
To raise awareness that heart disease is the number one health threat among women, St. Catherine Hospital is partnering on Friday, Feb. 3, with Multicultural Wellness Network/MOTTEP and Healthy East Chicago to host The Heart Truth® campaign.
Nearly 40% of U.S. adults have not had a check up with their dentist this year. NorthShore Health Center is taking initiative to bring these numbers down for the state of Indiana. With funds from a Delta Dental Foundation grant, they were able to bring in ten mothers for a dental cleaning and awareness of other NorthShore services.

The new Healthy Indiana Plan (or “HIP 2.0”) is an affordable health insurance program from the State of Indiana for uninsured adult Hoosiers. The Healthy Indiana Plan pays for medical expenses and provides incentives for members to be more health conscious. The Healthy Indiana Plan provides coverage for qualified low-income Hoosiers ages 19 to 64, who are interested in participating in a low-cost, consumer-driven health care program.

Chowdhury, MD is a board certified pediatrician and he officially began seeing patients on Monday January 4, 2016, and he is ready to help more people in the community using his 30+ years of experience in medicine.
