Take Mom Out to Dinner in Valpo
There are plenty of great places in Valparaiso to have a nice meal with the mothers in your family. Kelsey's Steak House, Industrial Revolution, Blackbird Cafe, Culver's and other eateries will happily serve you and the moms in your life. Many will also have Mother's Day specials and events so make your reservations and go eat!

Out of the Shadows, Signatures of All Things, Discarded Memories Opening Reception
Out of Shadows (Hyndman Gallery) features paper installations by Yoonshin Park and Richard Shipps. Park creates the paper in her installations, whereas Shipps cuts it. Parks creates paper using a pulp mixture of cotton and abaca. The process of creating paper intrigues Park because of the boundless possibilities for how she can incorporate and use it as a medium. Shipps on the other hand has long been fascinated by the interplay of light and shadow and how that interaction reveals form in many interesting ways. Their installations convey a fragile balance, yet can be shaped to create a complex volume, surface, and presence.
