Learn About The Memorial Opera House Winter Children’s Programs At Our FREE Open House!

rot4Children are the future. Today’s children are the actors, directors, musicians, and singers of tomorrow, those we will entrust to keep The Arts alive for years to come. Memorial Opera House helps prepare them with a new Winter Children’s Program featuring a variety of classes.

On Sunday, January 19 from 2-4pm, parents and grandparents of young children are invited to bring their family to a special Open House to learn about the curriculum, to meet the instructors, and to take advantage of a special pre-registration discount.

The Memorial Opera House classes offer an early introduction to The Arts through programs designed to ignite a passion for performance at an early age while introducing children to skill-building projects as enjoyable as they are educational. “If a child develops interest in the arts during developmental years, it generally stays with them the rest of their life. Memorial Opera House offers the opportunity to nurture such interest to the children in our area,” explained Memorial Opera House Business Director Michelle Smith.

The new classes taught by educated and experienced actors will be offered on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and run February thru March at Memorial Opera House. Children will learn age appropriate skills that apply to everyday life as well as on stage -- imagination, self-confidence, adaptability, problem-solving, responsibility, respect, concentration and to exercise motor skills, all in a playful and enjoyable environment.
