Portage Chambers Hosts Annual Chill ‘N Grill

The Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce hosted their Chill N’ Grill at their office on Eleanor Street in Portage on Friday. The annual event gives Chamber members a chance to meet and even network with fellow Chamber members.

According to the Chamber’s Executive Director and the Chill ‘N Grill’s skilled grillmaster Terry Hufford, “The goal of this event, and the goal of all of our activities is to give the community and our Chamber members a chance to meet new people and understand the local businesses.”

The Friday afternoon picnic setting, hosted on a beautiful day, appealed to attendees who were out on their lunch break. People from a variety of organizations such as the Alzheimers Association, the YMCA, Ivy Tech, automotive dealerships and insurance companies were in attendance to mingle with the Chamber.

“We want our events to catch on and have greater attendance so that people see the value in continuing to support the Chamber because, ultimately, we try to support them,” said Hufford.

The complimentary lunch of classic summer outdoor food and cold drinks were supplied by both the Chamber itself and Town & Country Food Market.
