On Saturday March 2, 2013 come join the BMX community and Race for Life! Come race at Steel Wheels BMX, 709 North Hobart Road, Hobart, IN 46342, 219-406-9833. The ONLY indoor BMX track in Indiana is set to host its annual race to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.com). Registration for racing is 11-1 cst with racing immediately following. Fees for racing are $20 Class or Cruiser, $5 Open/Strider, $10 Old Guns Shootout. USA BMX memberships are NOT required to race this race.
Dragon Wheels is sponsoring the 3rd annual Old Guns Shootout. All fees collected are donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the USA BMX Race for Life. This special race is an all wheel open for riders 35 & over, riding on flat pedals. You must also be riding a Class or Cruiser race to ride in this Open.
Upcoming Events: Redline Cup Qualifier will be March the 3rd. Memberships ARE REQUIRED for this race. Race fees are $35 Class or Cruiser, $10 Open/Strider, $10 discount for Class & Cruiser riders. Sign ups are 9-11 cst with racing immediately following.
Racing fun for all ages and proficiencies. Come support a great cause, participate or watch some great racing! Rental bikes and helmets are available.
Steel Wheels BMX track is a volunteer, non-profit organization whose mission is to provide BMX racing to the community. We have a 40,000 sq. foot facility that houses one of the largest, heated, indoor tracks in the country, as well as a full concessions and spectator areas. The indoor track also features racing, practice nights, clinics and special events.
We do our best to make the track a family affair! You will see kids, moms, and dads all riding, cheering and socializing. All ages and riding abilities are welcome. We have riders from 2 on up, and beginners to Pros all riding at our track. No alcohol or drinking is allowed on the premises, no foul language, bad attitudes or fighting. Even your dog is welcome, provided it is leashed.
