The city of Portage has been selected to host a national BMX Racing Event on September, 16-18 at Imagination Glen outdoor BMX track. Several thousand people will be staying in the Portage area for this 3 day event. Our members will benefit from this event, and the event could use support from our members to guarantee a very successful racing event. With only 27 locations chosen each year, the goal is to make Portage a very attractive location for years to come.
There are 4 ways that our membership can support this very special 3 days for Portage. Members with marquees are asked to welcome the racers and fans with a special message at your business. Members that have redeemable coupons, gift cards, or printed percent off on purchases are asked to donate these to be put in welcome packets. A large raffle will take place during the tournament, and gifts that can become raffle prizes are needed. The final way to help would be with sponsor dollars to help offset the costs that come with putting this event on.
The Northwest Indiana BMX Association is all volunteer and a non-profit group. All contributions are tax deductible through the Portage Parks Department.
