September Jewelry Making Classes at the Portage Library

Crochet-BraceletMara Wible, formerly of MegaBeads, will lead jewelry making classes Fridays in September. Pre-registration at the library is strongly requested. Fee per class varies, all supplies included.

Sept. 7, 12-2 - European 4-in-1 Bracelet: This weave originated centuries ago and was used to make protective armor for knights and soldiers. $25.00/Supplies Included.

Sept. 14...11-2 - Netting Bracelet: The basic netting technique is a simple bead weaving technique; great for a beginner or a more advanced beader. Varying the beads or the pattern in this technique will allow you to create hundreds of designs. $25.00/Supplies Included

Sept. 21....11-2 - Box Chain Bracelet In the European family of chain maille weaves, Box chain starts out like Byzantine but ends up something different. $20.00/Supplies included

Sept. 28...12-2 - Crochet Bracelet: Learn how the most basic crochet stitch is used to create a delicate piece of wearable art that will result in something distinctively different every time. You will make one silver & colored bead bracelet in this class. 20.00/Supplies Included
