Lubeznik Center Names New Marketing Director

lubeznik-center-for-the-artsCarolyn Saxton, Executive Director, is pleased to announce the addition of Becky Jascoviak as Marketing Director to the team of professionals at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts. “Becky brings an eclectic blend of education and experience to the Center including an extensive marketing background and years of non-profit work. We are excited to bring her on board at this important time,” said Saxton.

Jascoviak has over fifteen years of marketing experience including nearly ten as the Marketing Director for Indiana Dunes Tourism. In addition she has taught marketing at Purdue University Calumet. Becky will finish her MBA in August from Valparaiso University where she was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the national business honor society. She received a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Purdue University Calumet and is a graduate of Leadership Northwest Indiana.

Becky has served on and helped lead many non-profit boards in the area including Northern Indiana Tourism Development Commission, Coastal Zone Management Advisory Board (Chairman), Whiting Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Northwest Indiana Alumni Council, Chicago Street Theatre (Chairman), and Northwest Indiana Excellence in Theatre Foundation where she is the current President.

Becky is an active patron and supporter of the arts having served on the aforementioned theatre boards. Additionally, she has directed, stage managed, designed, and acted in over a dozen productions at theatres as far reaching as Crown Point Community Theatre, Hammond Community Theatre, Dunes Summer Theatre in Michigan City and both Memorial Opera House and Chicago Street Theatre in Valparaiso. She is the founding director of Area Christian Theatre Ensemble.

The Jack and Shirley Lubeznik Center for the Arts

The architecturally iconic Lubeznik Center for the Arts stands just steps away from Michigan City's lakefront. In addition to a full exhibition schedule in five galleries, the LCA is home to an outdoor art collection; a Gallery Shop featuring hand crafted, artisan items; plus classes, performances and after-hours events. Open Monday–Wednesday & Friday 10 to 5, Thursday 2 to 7, and Weekends 11 to 4 (Central Time). Don’t miss the Lakefront Art Festival, held the third weekend in August at Michigan City’s Washington Park.
