New Things Launched at May First Friday in Downtown Michigan City

Uptown-Arts-DistrictThe Michigan City Mainstreet Association is pleased to present the First Friday Artwalk in the Uptown Arts District on May 4, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm. The Uptown Arts District is comprised of fine art galleries, retail and restaurants located in the area from 11th Street to the lake and Spring Street to Wabash Street in Michigan City, IN.

The May First Friday Artwalk is all about new things to the Uptown Arts District. Visit Ryan’s Pub to view artists and live performances of their new outdoor patio. Check out beauty and art at the latest clothing and accessory boutique, Darling at 518 Franklin Street. Other new things to the district include Joy of Flowers, the Trinity Church of Michigan City and Lakefront Salon and Day Spa. Each location features local artwork, refreshments and a unique ‘Take Back the Michigan City Mural’ interactive art in the Trinity courtyard.
