Family Art Project Celebrates African-American’s Road to Freedom

lubeznik-center-for-the-artsLubeznik Center for the Arts will host a day of family fun and art on Saturday, February 5 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. (CST) sponsored by Tri Kappa's Delta Mu chapter.

Alison Jaksa, popular instructor of Lubeznik Center's Young Artists’ Studio will engage the entire family in a creative Underground Railroad quilt project. Students of all ages will design and produce a quilt square celebrating African-American’s hard won road to freedom. The resulting squares will be assembled into a quilt that will hang in Lubeznik Center's NIPSCO Art Education Studios in celebration of Black History Month.
