Shown, from left, are Sisters Aline Shultz, Marlene Shapley and Mary Joseph Watkins; and Rick Peltier, executive director of the Franciscan Health Foundation.

“We are grateful for the support of the sponsors and all of the bowlers for this event, which benefits the working poor of our area,” said Peltier. The event featured competitive bowling for trophies as well as a “crazy bowl.” Participants enjoyed food underwritten by Extended Care Clinical LLC, based in Evanston, Ill., and cake donated by Beck’s Crown Bakery in Crown Point. In addition, participants were able to compete for prizes in a raffle sponsored by the Merrillville Rotary Club.
