Some 120 guests attended a third annual St. Monica Home Tea at Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Point’s Marian Education Center April 24. Nearly $10,000 was raised for the mission of the home, which has assisted unwed pregnant teens and their babies for more than 20 years. Each year, the home provides a safe haven, often from abuse and poverty.
Through St. Monica, the young women continue their education, learn life skills and gain the experience they need to create a better life for themselves and their baby. During the event, Nancy Keough, left, and Kim Larsen, both of Crown Point; participate in a bag raffle, which was one of the fundraising efforts.
