SERVPRO of Porter County Completes 2015 Food Drive

SERVPRO-2015-Food-Drive-01SERVPRO of Porter County recently completed a county-wide charitable function with their Fill the Box Truck Initiative. During the month of April food was collected at participating locations across Porter County and at the end of the month, SERVPRO’s recognizable green truck drove around and picked up the donations made by citizens and then donated all that was collected to the Salvation Army of Porter County.

People were welcome to drop off nonperishable goods anytime the participating locations were open. It was easy to do as these places were frequently traversed by community members, so the designated containers filled quickly with boxes of macaroni and cheese, canned green beans, jars of peanuts, breakfast cereals, and more items that will go to help families in need around the area.

The Salvation Army of Porter County is one of many locations around the United States and the world that meets human needs and spread the message of Christ as it serves the community. Click here to find out more about the Salvation Army of Porter County.
