Students’ Effort Will Bring Comfort to Children in Emergency Department

Society members, led by president and eighth-grader Noah Wilkes, voted to undertake the project and 15 members collected the toys, all of which were named by the students and given identification tags. The toys will be distributed to children who come through the department, either as patients or as visitors to family members, to help offer comfort in traumatic situations. Among nurses accepting the donation were Joi East and Tammy Kristensen.
