The Valparaiso Barnes & Noble at 150 Silhavy Road will host a Book Fair Fundraiser for Opportunity Enterprises on Friday, March 21 in honor of Disability Awareness Month. OE will receive a percentage of sales when customers present a voucher for qualifying purchases. Vouchers are also good for online Barnes & Noble purchases made from March 21 through March 26, 2014.
The Book Fair will include a variety of exciting activities, including participant art and ceramic demonstrations from 9:00am – 12:00pm, participant book club meetings from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, and a special appearance by Elvis impersonator Brian Lee from 7:00-10:00pm. There will be an Elvis look-alike contest, autographs, and musical performances.
Proceeds from the Book Fair will be used to purchase new books and videos for units in the Lakeside curriculum, new apps for participant-utilized Nooks, and new items for the library at OE Main. Vouchers for the event are available at the front desks of the Lakeside and OE Main buildings and will also be available at the event itself.
