Salvation Army to Host 20th Annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving-TurkeyTHE SALVATION ARMY OF PORTER COUNTY will host its annual free Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center, 799 Capitol Road, South Haven, Indiana on Highway 6 (one block west of Highway 149).

This event has become an annual tradition for those in Porter County to enjoy a meal and share a time of fellowship on this great holiday. The dinner is free of charge. Everyone is invited and this allows those without the means or a family to enjoy a “family style” Thanksgiving Dinner with neighbors and friends. Delivery for shut-ins are also available if reservations are called in by November 16th , 4pm at (219) 762-9191.

We are also encouraging people to donate food: turkeys, sweet potatoes, gravy, vegetables, stuffing, pies, drinks and monetary donations to help in this community event. If you would like to support this dinner or volunteer for other Holiday events, please contact The Salvation Army at 762-9191
