Porter County Parks & Recreation Announces Brincka Cross Land Acquisition

rot4Porter County Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce that on April 14, 2017, Porter County Park Board President Rich Hudson executed the closing documents to acquire 15 acres adjacent to Brincka Cross Gardens. The Parks are planning to add a much-needed parking lot on the property and maintain the rest for conservation and accessibility purposes.

Half of the funding came from the Lake Michigan Coastal Program through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, with funds provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA.) The other half was provided by the State of Indiana’s Bicentennial Nature Trust.
