City of Whiting Welcomes Rivich Antiques & Enterprises to Whiting Lakefront Park

City-of-Whiting-Welcomes-Rivich-Antiques-and-Enterprises-to-Whiting-Lakefront-ParkThe City of Whiting is excited to welcome Rivich Antiques & Enterprises to Whiting Lakefront Park, who will be holding their auction ‘The Vintage Board of Trade’ on Thursday, June 2nd at 6 p.m in the park pavilion. The auction will feature 300 lots of vintage Chicago design pieces including old advertising, jewelry, home decor, mid century furniture, art, and even garden items.

“Our auctions are mostly held in other states,” explains Rebecca Rivich, Owner of Rivich Antiques & Enterprises. “Finally, after being asked by so many people to hold another auction locally, we decided the time is right to return to NWI.” Rivich continued, “We’ve looked at other sites, but Whiting has been incredibly welcoming in bringing the auction to Lakefront Park’s pavilion and the space is unbelievably beautiful. With that terrific Chicago skyline view, it's the perfect place for us."

Rivich and her husband, Mike, own Rivich Antiques together and have been residents of NWI their entire lives. For those not familiar with attending an auction, Rebecca and Mike will review the basics of registering and raising your hand in the air. Mike calls a lively and entertaining sale, so it becomes fun to raise your hand and join in on the bidding. Consignors are bringing many great items to be auctioned off at no reserve. That means, the highest bid buys the item. It's a great way to add that vintage piece to your home or to your collection.

The City of Whiting and Rivich Antiques welcome everyone to come out on the evening of June 2nd to check out the auction, and hopefully take home the perfect vintage find.
