Each year the Dunes Learning Center inspires curiosity and an appreciation for the outdoors in the more than 5000 children whom visit its unique “classroom without walls.” The Porter County Community Foundation is proud to support the Dunes Learning Center mission and recently presented the nonprofit organization with a Community Fund grant check to help enhance the center’s technology capacity.
The Foundation champions the work of nonprofit organizations throughout Porter County and helps strengthen their work by providing organizations with grants, guidance and training that help them build their own sustainability. Last year the Porter County Community Foundation disbursed more than $1.8 million in scholarships and grants.
